Thanks for your interest in Shropshire Anglers. We are a friendly club match fishing every 3 weeks between April and October and hold monthly winter matches between November and March.
Our matches are no pools matches (no winnings). We fish for fun, experience, learn off each other and to have a good time without any pressure. Majority of matches are based within Shropshire, and within an hours drive of Shrewsbury.
The expectation of members is that they will try and fish as many matches as possible (although we totally understand this is not always possible). Winter matches are optional as not everyone enjoys fishing during the winter.
There is an annual membership fee of £35 (due in March) plus the cost of fishing each match. For the remainder of this year (now to Feb 2026), annual membership fee is £15, plus either cash on day for each match at £12, or via bank transfer upfront.
For March 2026 to October 2026, pricing is looking at approx. £150 for the 12 matches (price to be confirmed as just waiting for final 2 venues to be confirmed). We’ll be looking to take either payment upfront or in instalments for the next season starting March 26 to help with paying venue deposits.

Current space is limited and is being offered on a first-come first-served basis. If you’d like to join, please sign-up via FishPermit below (which handles our match and membership payments). Once you have paid your membership fee, you’ll then be able to book onto matches.
